After many years of moaning about drones, it was time to bury the hatchet, swallow…
In this months outdoor photography magazine is an article about the Landscape Photographer of the year 2013 competition. The magazine has selected it’s favourite landscape photographs from this years competition. I am delighted to report that they have selected my image ‘Urban Stretch’ as one of their favourites, I am rather flattered and thankful.
It’s a photograph that I have had in my head for a long time, I spent a long period of my life living in London, before returning to Cardiff, so having an image which represents a past period of my life, also with some real personal meaning, is rather satisfying.
Landscape photographer of the year is a competition that really draws the crowds and I’m not going to comment on whether or not it’s the best place to represent landscape photography in the UK. For me, the book this year, is a vast improvement on previous years, but then I would say that 😉 wouldn’t I!. I take great pleasure in sharing the photographs I make and if sharing means representation in a National gallery, book and exhibition, who am I to say otherwise.
If you wish to see more photographs from my portfolio please head to the portfolio section of my website.
I am shortly going to start on a major new update to the website, but the month of November has seen the busiest period of business the company has had to date, which is a great sign that we are heading down the right road.
If you wish to purchase a framed copy of the commended print, it is available in the shop on my website. It is only available in one size, with the image being 12inches square, a 3-4inch mount and a 2 inch frame, so around 18-inches in total size. Get in touch if you have any questions.
So much more is coming soon, with news about recent commissions, new products, a new website for creative landscape photography and so much more.
