Pen Y Fan photograph in the Brecon Beacons
£45.00 – £140.00
Description
Pen Y Fan photograph from the iconic Brecon Beacons mountain range.
Pen Y Fan is an iconic Welsh mountain, it is nestled between Corn Du and Cribyn in the Brecon Beacons range. At 886metres it is the highest mountain in South Wales. The sky was clear and snow had covered Pen Y Fan above 500 metres. It was a perfect night for astro photography. All views are breathtaking, but this particular location is the easiest to access.
Pen Y Fan is one of the most accessible mountains in Britain, but can also be one of the most dangerous. Climbing to the summit is fairly easy but the simple route to the top can catch walkers out. The weather can change so quickly. Be prepared and turn back if the weather turns.
Whilst the Storey Arms route to the summit offers quick access, the alternatives are many. Walking from the North (Brecon side) is more challenging and varied.
