Pen Y Fan North Face

Living in the Beacons, as we do, you see Pen Y Fan from every angle, but its close geographic relationship with Corn Du and Cribyn, mean that Pen Y Fans identity can get a little lost.
For me, this is the best angle of Pen Y Fan, with Cribyn off to the left and Corn Du hidden behind its North Face.
Undoubtedly, from this angle, it is a mountain. So, if you walk up this majestic mountain from Pont y Daf and get to the top, next time, take an alternative route and walk up a mountain.
There is something special about snow and the sunny day combination, as it amplifies the dark shadows across mountain tops, that just draws me in. Inspired by Bradford Washburn and his exploration of photography from elevated positions is always influencing me.
