Description
Llech y drybedd Cromlech, Pembrokeshire, Wales
My family lives locally and my father once told me this was one of the least visited cromlechs in Pembrokeshire. One late afternoon, I walked up the hill. Past the farm, through Nells Lane and into the field that contains this fabulous Cromlech. Roughly 45 minutes later I heard distant noise and watched a number of people clambering over the wall. It was June 21st and summer solstice. I was joined by a local group of druids. It might well be quiet on all other days, on the summer solstice it most certainly is not!
Where?
Cromlech’s are plentiful in Pembrokeshire. The most famous of which is Pentre Ifan. This is a lesser known cromlech which sits is an isolated position on the edge of the coastline. The dominant Carn Ingli sits in the background.
