Nestled deep into the central Beacons is Mynydd Illtud Common. Home to the Brecon Beacons National Park Mountain and Visitor Centre. A wonderful spot to take in one of the most dramatic vistas the park has.

Throughout the common there are a spiders web of walks, which can take you far and wide. Existing throughout the common are a series of dew pools and in some cases areas of SSSI natures reserves. Nestled within this common are the very best view of the central Beacons massif.

The common has an Iron Age Fort, standing stones and is a great place to observe the dark skies. However, a leisurely bimble will also reveal it’s quieter side.
