Brecon Beacons Panoramic

The slopes of Pen y Fan. Brecon Beacons panoramic image from the summit of South Wales.

The Brecon Beacons are a wonderful emotive location to take and make photographs within. The light changes dramatically and frequently. I made this image on the very cold winters morning, I had just witnessed a truly amazing sunrise from the top of the Corn Du and was looking to take advantage of the low cloud pouring over the ridge.

Witnessing a morning like this is a rare treat.

The quickest way to get to the top is via Pont ar Daf, near the Storey Arms. There are plenty of places to park. A good stroll can take you to the top in an hour. However, it can take much longer. There are many more enjoyable routes from the North side, near Brecon.
