The Brecon Beacons are a wonderful emotive location to take and make photographs within. The light changes dramatically and frequently. I made this image on the very cold winters morning, I had just witnessed first light hitting the Northern slopes of Pen Y Fan. Commonly called Alpenglow.
The quickest way to get to the top is via Pont ar Daf, near the Storey Arms. There are plenty of places to park. A good stroll can take you to the top in an hour. However, it can take much longer.
