A portrait of Cribyn. Cribyn commands the central Beacons mountain range like no other. Its dominance only just toppled by Pen Y Fan. The crowning glory for many people is the view from Pen Y Fan. A classic Welsh mountain view. However, in my view, this angle of Cribyn eclipses the more well known photograph.

It is a mountain like no other in the Beacons. It is imposing from the North, bleak and acute. From its rear less so, but I’ll ignore that for now. On this day the light hit the Eastern slopes and illuminated the snow patches. A glorious morning wander.
