Yes, its a snow post again, this time in 2026

It appears that I only write content for my website when it snows, which is odd, as its usually the time when I spend most of my time outdoors, photographing the winter! So how do I find time to write about the snow and winter season, when mostly I’m in it. I guess I’ll never really know the answer, perhaps it is the inspiration that the snow provides and gets me writing and worrying less about creating the right post, for the right customer, at the right time, which for anyone who’s reading this and runs their own business, will know exactly what I mean.

Unlike the rest of the Brecon Beacons, who have received a little, but not much snow, the central Beacons and our little cottage have been plastered. Monday was one of those days I won’t forget in a hurry and I’m sure over the next month, I’ll share some new content, but right now, I just wanted to say here’s a quick photo above our cottage, looking out towards snow on the Bannau Brycheiniog. The light hitting the slopes of our valley and lighting the two trees in the forground is the shot maker.

As I write this, we’ve just had a Amber Warning issued.for more snow and having just run the longer range forecast, I can see further cold spells into the middle of January, so this could be a very cold winter. After ther last few years, which have been mostly too warm, I must say, I am excited to see what the weather gods can bring.
