Achieving unique photographs of Pen Y Fan and Cribyn is difficult, especially from the summit tops. However, a little wander beneath the Northern slopes of both mountains and a suite of not so popular angles will reveal itself. Pen Y Fans relationship to Cribyn is really demonstrated in this photograph.

A smattering of snow and cutting light across the mountain sides, has made these two majestic mountains come to life. To me these are the mountains of the Beacons. Angular and snow topped. This route is accessible from just South of Brecon.
