Description
Upper Neuadd Reservoir, Brecon Beacons
Date – You decide, a group of friends is ideal. Once I have one booking I will confirm the date.
We will meet at 10.00AM for a 10.30 start. The group will then have a very informal chat over a cup of coffee to discuss what we would all like to achieve over the day and then we’ll head off towards the Neuadd reservoirs. As mentioned in the description, there are many locations we will be using on the day, so be prepared for a little walk during the day, nothing too strenuous but certainly a few miles.
Duration – The workshop runs from 11.30AM on the day that you choose until sunset that evening. The Neuadd has steep banks, so sunset can be difficult. We can ascend one of the peaks to get a better vista of the sun going down, or we can continue to photograph the reducing light levels in and around the reservoir.
Knowledge needed – You will need to know the very basic settings on your camera, exposure, shutter speed etc, a full questionnaire will be sent to all participants on sign-up for the workshop.
Fitness – There will be a reasonable amount of walking on the day. But this will all be low level, we won’t be ascending any of the peaks!

The victorian dam, islands, rivers, lone trees, possible reflections and the Pen Y Fan vista offer a photographer looking to grasp the fundamentals to improve their landscape skills a perfect location to tweak and improve.
