Mynydd Llangorse and the view from Cockett Hill. This is the view from the hill fort. An easy 20 minute or so walk. It is steep but short. The panoramic view out towards the Brecon Beacons and Pen y Fan is a popular one for photographers. It offers a foreground view of the lake, whilst also a stretching backdrop out to Pen Y Fan and the Brecon beacons mountain range.
The hill is covered in heather in the late summer months and it runs wild with mountain ponies. Propping up the other side of the valley sits the impressive Mynydd Troedd. A powerful isolated mountain, which dominates the Black Mountains range of the Brecon beacons National Park.
