Back lanes of the Brecon Beacons

Lanes around the fringes of the Brecon Beacons. Country lanes are quiet and beautiful. With snow they turned into a glorious winter wonderland, Narnia like. Deep snow filled the lanes and sat on the trees. Wind returned and a cold breeze ran through the park.

A single 4×4 attempted a drive through the woodland leaving these tracks. Whilst the Brecon Beacons are all about the majesty of the mountains, there is much beauty to be found in the quieter places. This is one of many. In the Beacons, I take as much pleasure from wandering the quiet areas, as I do the majestic mountains.
